TheDream.US Opportunities Directory
TheDream.US Opportunities Directory includes a list of internships, fellowships, and experiential learning opportunities (mostly paid) that are inclusive to ALL undocumented college students with and without DACA or TPS. These opportunities DO NOT require work authorization. All paid opportunities require a valid SSN or ITIN. Please read the Instructions tab to optimize your user experience when using the Directory.

Dream Summer Fellowships
Dream Summer is a national fellowship run by the UCLA Dream Resource Center that helps young immigrants and allies become leaders in social justice. The fellowship allows participants to work with organizations that focus on social justice and immigration issues, and to develop their leadership skills.
Participants receive a $7,000 award and become part of a network of over 900 immigrant rights leaders. The program is open to all young immigrants, and you don’t have to be a student at UCLA to apply.

Teach For America’s Ignite Fellowship
The Ignite Fellowship is a virtual, paid, part-time tutoring fellowship sponsored by Teach For America. The fellowship is open to all undergraduate or graduate students who have an ITIN or SSN (EADs not required) and meet other eligibility criteria. All majors welcome!

Parker Dewey Micro-Internships
Parker Dewey is an online platform that partners with organizations to offer paid, professional projects and internships. All opportunities are paid and structured as independent contracting – which means work authorization is not required. You must have a valid SSN or (not expired) ITIN to be paid by Parker Dewey as an independent contractor.

Poder Latinx’s Poderosas Fellowship
Poder Latinx is a civic and social justice organization focused on strengthening the political power of the Latinx community and advocating for various justice issues. Their Poderosas Fellowship provides leadership development and inspires Latinas to increase voter participation in their communities. The fellowship is a 10-month program that starts in the summer and ends in the spring. Fellows receive a $5,000 stipend. Eligibility requirements include being a Latina aged 18-35, living in one of 15 select states, and having a valid SSN or ITIN. Visit the Poder Latinx website for more information.
Aliento Internships & Fellowships
ARIZONA STUDENTS ONLY. Aliento is a community organization based in Phoenix, Arizona that is undocumented and youth-led. Aliento invests in the well-being and leadership development of those impacted by the inequities of lacking an immigration status. Aliento offers paid, inclusive internships and fellowships to Arizona students whom are part of the impacted community. Fellowships begin in September and end in June, with stipends up to $4,000. Fellowship applications open and close in the summer. Internships take place during fall, spring, and summer. For more information, visit www.alientoaz.org.
Code the Dream Labs Apprenticeship
The Code the Dream (CTD) Labs Apprenticeship is a full-time, professional program for junior software engineers to gain real-world software development experience. The apprenticeship is competitive and requires a 1-year commitment. Apprentices receive between $30,000-$35,000 for the year. SSN and ITIN holders are eligible to apply.
Eligibility: Only individuals who have successfully completed and passed CTD Learns (a 6-18 month free coding course program) are eligible to apply. Applications open at varying times throughout the year. Applicants must have a valid SSN or ITIN. College enrollment is not required. Please disregard CTD’s mention that CTD Labs Apprenticeship is a W2 employment opportunity. CTD has created alternative, paid options for apprentices to work as independent contractors.
TheDream.US Internship & Fellowship Programs
TheDream.US is partnering with 50+ Partner Colleges to provide inclusive, paid experiential learning opportunities to their Scholars through 2 programs: TheDream.US Internship Funding Program and TheDream.US Experiential Fellowship Program. Scholars who participate can receive up to $4,000! These programs are only open to TheDream.US Scholars at participating Partner Colleges. Scholars must have a valid SSN or ITIN. To see if your institution is participating in either program, view the Program Directory (there’s 2 tabs – one for the Internship Program and one for the Fellowship Program). For more information about these programs and how to participate, contact your institution’s Program Point of Contacts (POC) listed on the Program Directory. Please also read the Eligibility Criteria and Scholar Flyer below.
IMPORTANT: Scholars can participate in only 1 TheDream.US Internship Funding Program internship and 1 TheDream.US Fellowship Program fellowship per calendar year (January 1 – December 31) – if your PC participates in these programs. See our Scholar Participation Limits Guide for more details. Scholars who participate in the Internship and/or Fellowship Program are paid via Parker Dewey’s payment platform, Tipalti. If approved for an internship or fellowship, Scholars will receive an invitation email from Parker Dewey to create a Tipalti account. Please review the Tipalti Account Registration Guide for step-by-step instructions. (You will be asked to complete an electronic tax form within Tipalti – select Form W-9.)
DreamBuilders Internship Program
The DreamBuilders Internship Program offers paid internships to TheDream.US Scholars at host organizations and businesses nationwide, providing mentorship and support as you build your skills and grow your network! There’s no cost to Organizations as TheDream.US will pay for the interns! Scholars who are selected as interns can receive up to a $4,000 stipend. TheDream.US Internships (Interning at TheDream.US)
Interested in interning with TheDream.US? TheDream.US hosts approximately 10 paid interns each semester, giving Scholars the opportunity to build professional skills while supporting TheDream.US’ mission and organizational initiatives. Most internships are remote and include a $4,000 stipend. These internships are open to current TheDream.US Scholars with a valid SSN or ITIN. Applications open every September for internships taking place during the next calendar year (Spring, Summer, and Fall). All TheDream.US internships are posted on Parker Dewey.
