Starting May 19, 2026, we will send you a series of FIVE onboarding emails containing key information to get you started as a TheDream.US Scholar. You can find those emails here. Here is the schedule of emails you will receive from us:

Note: If you were awarded the Scholarship this year, you do not need to complete the Scholar Survey or the Renewal form until the summer of 2027.

Immigration Screenings and First Summer Office Hour
This email outlines steps to complete your mandatory immigration screening, register for our Summer Office Hours and review “Your Commitments Hub” linked in the ISTS Scholar Portal.

Your Scholarship Community and Second Summer Office Hour
This email advises you how to connect with your scholarship community and campus support network. It invites you to our nationwide peer network of close to 8,000 Scholars and Alumni. It connects you to your Scholar Advisor and other campus support staff to assist you in your college journey.

Your Scholarship Community and Second Summer Office Hour
This email shares several resources for additional scholarships, programs and State Aid (where eligible) that will help you maximize your Scholarship. Learn about taking CLEP exams for college credits and who on your campus to reach out to for help in applying for State Aid, if available.

TheDream.US New Scholar Welcome Event – Celebrating You!
This email formally invites you to register for our 2026 New Scholar Welcome on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 2 pm ET / 1 pm CT / 11 am PT. This is a nation-wide virtual event celebrating you receiving TheDream.US Scholarship and joining our community. You can be featured in the event by submitting your photo and quote on our New Scholar Welcome Feature Form which will showcase during the event. This event is mandatory for all New Scholars!
Moreover, this email reminds you to register for our Summer Career Series coming up on July 30 and July 31. It also outlines the requirements to be eligible for our one-time $500 Grant this Fall.
