Pathways to Protection for DACA Recipients: Unlocking Advance Parole
November 8 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Did you know that DACA recipients can travel outside the US? Advance parole (AP) is a procedure that grants permission to non-citizens to reenter the U.S. after temporarily traveling abroad. By using AP to go abroad, some may even unlock existing legal pathways to more permanent protections. This webinar provides an opportunity for practitioners to learn more about advance parole – what it is, how it works, and what steps they can take to build an AP program on campus.
The webinar will feature panelist speakers who have successfully implemented or utilized educational pathways to advance parole. They will discuss the challenges and opportunities they encountered while offering insights on how colleges and universities can support DACA recipients looking to use AP to travel abroad.
