Julia Leibowitz is a 2015 graduate of Walt Whitman High School in Bethesda, Maryland. She joins TheDream.US team this summer on the Stories Project, gathering personal stories from our Dream Scholars across the nation. In the summer of 2014, she participated in Brown University’s Environmental Leadership Lab in Costa Rica, where she learned about biodiversity and the threat of climate change. Julia will be attending Tulane University in the fall, with potential plans to study political science or public relations. In her free time, Julia can be found exploring new brunch spots with friends, watching unreal amounts of Netflix, and chasing her dog, Tank, around the house.
