Apply for Teach for America’s Ignite Fellowship for the Spring 2025 semester by Wednesday, November 20th, 2024!
Ignite is a virtual, paid, part-time tutoring fellowship sponsored by Teach For America. Fellows receive $1,200 per semester. The fellowship is open to all TheDream.US Scholars who:
- Have an ITIN or SSN (work authorization is not required*);
- Have at least a 2.5 GPA;
- Meet other eligibility criteria;
- All majors welcome!

*Please disregard the website’s mention that fellows must have work authorization. Since Spring 2023, Teach for America has expanded their Ignite Fellows program to be inclusive to all TheDream.US Scholars who have an ITIN or SSN (work authorization is not required). Since Spring 2023, over 100 TheDream.US Scholars have participated as Ignite Fellows!

IMPORTANT: Compensation from inclusive internships is considered taxable income and should be reported as income on a tax return. It’s recommended that Scholars save 30-35% of their stipends/compensation to pay taxes. Review page 2 of our Tax Matters FAQ (found on our ITIN webpage) for more information.
