The letter raises alarm about increasing delays in DACA renewal processing, reports of country-specific pauses on renewals, and troubling cases of detention and deportation of individuals with active or pending DACA status.
Together, these developments are placing long-standing DACA recipients—young people who grew up in the United States and have complied with the program’s requirements for more than a decade—at serious and unnecessary risk.
