Dear National Scholars,
We have GOOD NEWS for those of you who received our National Scholarship as a High School Graduate.
Beginning in the Fall of 2020, we will increase our award by $1,000/year – from a maximum of $7,250 to a maximum of $8,250/year.
Your maximum award for tuition and fees will be up to $33,000 for a bachelor’s degree. For those who get a stipend: Adding your $1,000/year stipend, your maximum award will now be up to $37,000.
WHY ARE WE DOING THIS?
The cost of tuition and fees at our Partner Colleges are rising. This means that our Partner Colleges had to increase their financial aid or apply your stipend toward your tuition and fees.
We want to fix this by increasing our award and ensuring that you will be able to use the stipend for books and supplies.
Next year, your Partner College will disburse the $1,000/year stipend to you for books and supplies (paid out in equal amounts each term) unless you choose to apply the stipend toward other fees like lab costs or health insurance.
We want you to know that we are here for you and will do all that we can to ensure that you are able to complete your degree – even in the face of the Covid-19.
We stand with you,
