For Current Scholars in Florida:
We want to remind you that you must complete the out-of-state tuition fee waiver at your Partner College to be eligible to receive TheDream.US scholarship funds.
Important: You do not need to disclose your immigration status. Only provide the required information and documentation.
We know filling out these forms can be intimidating. Just keep in mind that you only need to provide what is asked. There is no need to overshare the details of your immigration status or personal history as it is not considered in determining your eligibility for the waiver.
The waiver allows Dreamers who have grown up and gone to school in the state of Florida to pay in-state tuition fees at state colleges and universities.
To qualify, you must meet the following requirements:
- Attend a secondary school in Florida for at least 3 consecutive years before graduation;
- Apply for enrollment in an institution of higher education within 24 months after high school graduation; and
- Submit an official Florida high school transcript as evidence of attendance & graduation.
Each of our Florida Partner Colleges has its own processes to complete the out-of-state tuition waiver, so be sure to check-in with your Scholar Advisor or Financial Aid Advisor if you have questions.
