Spring ITIN Sessions: ITINs Open Doors – How Do I Get One?

Did you know that ITINs (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) can really make a difference for undocumented folks without an SSN?

Join us for two sessions this month called “ITINs Open Doors – How Do I Get One?” where we’ll discuss what ITINs are, help you figure out if you already have one, and guide you through the steps to apply. Got any burning ITIN questions? Feel free to bring them!

Why apply for an ITIN? ITINs can be used to:

  • File and pay taxes
  • Open a bank account
  • Obtain a home mortgage
  • Secure a driver’s license (in select states)
  • Apply for an Employer Identification Number (EIN)
  • Pursue entrepreneurial careers such as independent contracting, freelancing, and/or starting a business
  • Apply and participate in various paid internship and fellowship programs that are open to SSN and ITIN holders. (Example inclusive programs include Teach for America’s Ignite Fellowships, Dream Summer Fellowships, and Parker Dewey Micro-Internships.)

Thursday Feb 15th & Thursday March 14th (also on our calendar here)
