IMMIGRATION SCREENINGS WITH A TRUSTED ATTORNEY
Access to a FREE Immigration Attorney for a one-on-one consultation about pathways to adjust your status. Over 800 Scholars and Alum have already gone through this safe and easy process. Screenings are confidential and will not affect your Scholarship. Start your process today by completing the Initial Screening Request Form. If you have already gone through one of our screenings, please do not resubmit a new request.
IMMIGRATION FEES LOANS
Through our partnership with Mission Asset Fund (MAF), we are providing zero interest zero fees immigration loans to help you pay your USCIS application fee for a variety of different renewals and change of status requests. This program allows you to pay your application fee upfront and then make low monthly payments within a ten-month period. You can request an immigration loan for your DACA/TPS renewals or other applications such as a green card, citizenship, family petition, etc.
Please note: As of October 28th, USCIS will no longer accept paper checks, and all payments must be made electronically. In order to make this adjustment, MAF has paused accepting new applications. We hope to reopen in early November and will keep you informed. If you are interested in submitting an application, sign up for reopening alerts.
MONTHLY IMMIGRATION Q+A
Every last Thursday of the month during the Fall and Spring semesters, we host a one-hour Immigration Q&A session. These sessions provide resources to help you know your rights, prepare for emergency situations and manage your mental health. We will have an immigration attorney also answering any of your immigration questions live.

DACA UPDATE: NO CHANGES AT THIS STAGE
We are aware of the growing confusion surrounding last week’s court activity regarding briefs filed in the Texas Challenge to DACA. Nothing has changed at this stage.
What occurred last week were procedural court proposals and do not change the current status of DACA. Current DACA holders are still eligible to renew every two years. It is highly recommended they submit their renewal 150 – 120 days before their expiration date to avoid any lapses in their DACA or work permit. They can use the DACA Renewal Calculator to determine the best time to renew and our Immigration Fee Loans to assist in covering the cost upfront.
Current Scholars are encouraged to complete our Immigration Screening before filing a NEW DACA application to assess their personal risks.

SUPPORT GROUPS FOR PEOPLE LEGALIZING
Join a support group for those undergoing a status change. These groups are led by trained mental health providers with shared lived experience. Though not workshops or legal consultations, participants are able to safely explore the emotions that can sometimes arise during the legalization process: the fear of being denied; the anxiety of traveling abroad; and the exhaustion of being subject to ever-changing, unpredictable immigration policies.

- Green Card through Marriage Support Groups (for Immigrants Seeking Status)
- Work Visa Support Group for Healthcare Professionals
- Support Group for Black Immigrants Pursuing Lawful Status
- Support Group for Queer & Trans Immigrants Pursuing Lawful Status
