Arlington, VA- TheDream.US[1] is proud to announce the addition of a new partner college in Florida, Palm Beach State College (PBSC). PBSC serves Florida’s third most populous county with more than 1.3 million residents, and according to data obtained by the Florida College Access Network[2], PBSC has the largest use of out-of-state tuition waivers by DREAMers in the state of Florida.
“With our new partner, Palm Beach State College, we hope to continue serving one of the largest DREAMer populations in the country,” said Candy Marshall, president of TheDream.US. There are close to 90,000 DREAMers in Florida.[3] Of those, about 200 are TheDream.US scholars.
As one of 28 institutions in the Florida College System, PBSC offers several degrees, including bachelor’s and associate degrees. Palm Beach State College is also the home of the Dr. Kathryn W. Davis Global Education Center, a one-stop education and information resource center for immigrants residing in Palm Beach County.
“We are confident our scholars will succeed and achieve their dream of a college education at Palm Beach State College,” added Marshall.
Students who are interested in applying for TheDream.US scholarship and plan to attend Palm Beach State College can go to www.thedream.us/apply and submit an application before the due date, February 15, 2016 11:59 PM CST.
