TheDream.US Releases New State-Specific Resources With Scholar Success Stories

New Fact Sheets for AZ, FL, GA, NV, and TX Highlight TheDream.US Scholars and Graduates and Importance of Expanding Opportunities for DREAMers

Washington, DC – With Congress considering several bills that could finally deliver citizenship for DREAMers, and with state legislatures debating expanding opportunities for immigrant youth in their states, TheDream.US has released new state-specific fact sheets with success stories of local TheDream.US Scholars and graduates. These stories offer reminders of why enacting federal and state legislation to expand opportunities for DREAMers would strengthen the futures of both DREAMers and their surrounding communities. TheDream.US is the nation’s largest college and career success program for immigrant youth.

According to Gaby Pacheco, Director of Advocacy, Communications and Development for TheDream.US, “Despite important breakthroughs over the past decade, DREAMers are still not able to plan their futures in the United States with full confidence. Now, with bills in Congress that could deliver a legislative fix for DREAMers, we are in a different moment. My own story and those of TheDream.US Scholars help illustrate why permanent status matters. It’s time to finally deliver legislation that makes DREAMers full citizens. The United States will only be made stronger by settling this issue once and for all.”
