TheDream.US Releases New Video Featuring DREAMer College Graduates, in Recognition of its Largest Graduating Class of Scholars
WASHINGTON – Today, TheDream.US, the nation’s largest college access and success program for immigrant youth, released a new video featuring several of their 330-plus Scholars who graduated in Spring 2019.
According to Candy Marshall, President of TheDream.US, “We are always overjoyed to watch our Scholars don their caps and gowns, walk across the graduation stage, and celebrate their bachelor’s degree with their families. In the spring 2019 semester alone, we were proud to see more than 330 Scholars graduate and move on to their next chapter of their incredible journey, whether studying in graduate school or contributing to workplaces across America.
“Despite the uncertainty of their own lives and the precarious state of DACA, many DREAMers remain steadfastly committed to their education, knowing that a college degree can never be taken away from them. DREAMers’ resilience, potential, and commitment – to themselves, their families, and our nation – remain an inspiration and comes through loud and clear in this video. We know that many of them will go on to change their community and the world around them. But already, we are humbled by their gratitude and proud of their accomplishments.”
